We have 19 years
of experience as a Spanish language school in Mexico. We use a tested and proven
learning method to teach the Spanish language and Mexican culture,
guiding students towards rapidly improving
their level of Spanish and knowledge of Mexico.
We have an international reputation for excellence as a Spanish language school. This is strengthened year after year by the large number of
returning students (for example, 41 last
summer) and the many enthusiastic
learning-abroad recommendations from guidebooks to Mexico including: Frommers, Footprint Mexico Handbook, Lonely Planet, The Rough Guide to Mexico, Chikyu no Arukikata GIO Club, and Seikousuru Ryugaku Study Abroad Success Book.
We offer the
greatest variety of courses of any Spanish language school in central Mexico, including classes in: cinema, music and dance, literature, business, cooking, culture, history, politics, and art.
We organize activities for our Spanish language students almost every day--movies, parties, lectures, language exchanges with
Mexican students who are studying English, and weekend excursions.
We have a beautiful
learning environment. Our Spanish language school campus is located in an elegant neighborhood near central Guanajuato and has an attractive garden, a library, a cafeteria, and tranquil areas to study or relax
in between classes.
We are located in one of the most picturesque cities in Mexico. Guanajuato is a small, safe, and friendly city located just a few hours north of Mexico City.
We have an excellent reputation for teacher training and have trained over 145 teachers. Other Spanish language schools are always eager to hire the teachers who train with us.

Getting Here:
Leon/Bajio Airport (about 35 minutes from
Guanajuato) can be reached by direct flights
from Dallas, Houston, or Los Angeles. A
ticket to take a taxi from
Leon/Bajio
Airport to Guanajuato costs approximately
US$35. (Buses do not serve the
Leon/Bajio
Airport.) Since planes are
often delayed, it is more practical for you
to take a taxi once you have passed the
immigration checkpoints. Look for the
ground transportation sign. If you are flying into Mexico City, take a
taxi from the airport to the North Bus
Station (Central de Autobuses del Norte)
which is about 20 minutes away. There is a
regular first-class bus service which
leaves every 1-2 hours for Guanajuato. Ask for
the "Directo" service to avoid stopping in the smaller towns along the way.
You may also choose to fly into Guadalajara
and take a taxi to the Central de Autobuses;
there is also direct service to Guanajuato. The bus to Guanajuato from either
city takes 4 1/2
to 5 hours. Recommended bus lines include: ETN, Futura, Servicios Coordinados, Primera Plus, and Tres Estrellas de Oro.
Returning Home:
We can help you
with transportation from Guanajuato to the
Leon/Bajio Airport. (Please plan ahead
to avoid any inconveniences.)

Guanajuato (population 90,501; altitude 6,724 ft.) is considered by many to be the most beautiful city in Mexico and owes its fame and fortune to the rich veins of silver and gold discovered by the Spanish many centuries ago.
Like other silver cities in Mexico, Guanajuato has beautiful cityscapes and architectural treasures. The 16th-century mining boom led to the construction of fine townhouses, beautiful haciendas, and romantic plazas--for which the city is famous. In fact, UNESCO declared the city and surrounding mines a "World Heritage Site" in 1988. Clean and beautifully preserved, Guanajuato should be high on anyone's list of places to visit in Mexico.
The city is located in a valley and surrounded by stunning mountains. Its streets and many alleyways spread out in every direction--winding, rising, and descending with the contours of the land. Some streets are no more than narrow stone paths, lined with flowering balconies
that explode with color.
Guanajuato's system of underground tunnels is one of the most charming and unique in Latin America. Cars and buses emerge from tunnels at main points throughout the city or continue on to "el centro" (downtown), making it a dream city for pedestrians.
The climate is springlike all year round. During the day, light clothing (such as short-sleeved shirts) is adequate; but you will need a jacket or sweater at night.
There is always something going on here: street parades, music in the plazas, religious
festivals, and cultural events.
Guanajuato has 14 different museums, several performance halls, and a climate that makes the surrounding mountains accessible all year round.
